Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ secures the largest number of pre-orders for an Android smartphone on EE’s superfast network

EE today confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the most pre-ordered Android smartphones it has ever offered. Thousands of EE customers who ordered early are already enjoying the UK’s fastest 4G speeds on their new devices, ahead of today’s official launch.
Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ on EE’s network topped last year’s Galaxy S7, making it the most hotly anticipated Android device EE has offered to date. The larger format is again proving very popular, with 40% of customers opting for the 6.2-inch Infinity Display on the Galaxy S8+.
Available from EE in two colours, the midnight black versions of the smartphones have received 63% of all Galaxy S8 and S8+ pre-orders, beating orchid grey to first place. As well as record sales for EE’s range of Protection options – including Full Cover Insurance and official accessories designed specifically for the Galaxy S8 – have also seen strong demand. For the first time, EE customers have been able to order an official Samsung Add To Plan bundle, including a Wireless Charger, USB Cable and £20 Case Voucher.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is available on EE with an upfront cost of £9.99 on a £55.99 per month, 24 month 4GEE plan, with 5GB of data. Meanwhile the Samsung Galaxy S8+ is £29.99 on a £60.99 per month, 24 month 4GEE plan with 10GB data.
Alternatively, for just £5 more per month, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is available for £9.99 on a £60.99 per month, 24 month 4GEE Max plan, and comes with 7GB of data. Meanwhile the Samsung Galaxy S8+ is available for £9.99 on a £65.99 per month with 15GB of data on a 24 month 4GEE Max plan.
4GEE Max plans come with unlimited UK minutes and UK texts, and the ability to use allowances in the EU at no extra cost. Customers also receive free access to the BT Sport app for the duration of their 4GEE Max plan.
