Everything Everywhere scoops two Mobile News Awards

  • Orange awarded the UK's best Large Retailer for the second year running.
  • Tom Alexander crowned Industry Personality of the Year.

Everything Everywhere walked away with two of the mobile industry's highest accolades last night at the Mobile News Awards, as Orange picked up the coveted Large Retailer of the Year award and CEO Tom Alexander was crowned Industry Personality of the Year.

At the prestigious ceremony, Orange beat off fierce competition for Large Retailer of the Year – judged by the cumulative scores from the Mobile News Mystery Shop.

Concluding the evening, Tom Alexander was voted Industry Personality of the Year by guests at the ceremony. Tom joined Orange as CEO in 2008, and in July 2010 was made CEO of Everything Everywhere – responsible for two of the UK's most iconic brands, Orange and T-Mobile.

Orange's High Definition (HD) Voice service was also highly commended by the judges for most Innovative Service. Recognised for being a solution that has helped move the industry forward, HD Voice reduces background noise and decreases perceived distance between callers by providing crystal clear calls.
