The growing gaming offering comes as part of EE’s mission to become the UK’s no.1 destination for gaming.

New Gaming Laptop Bundles - Only on EE

Removing data worries and providing some of the best hardware, featuring the latest processors and graphics cards - EE’s new PC laptops gaming packages have been designed to allow customers to get the best experience out of every frame, every shot, and every win. The bundles provide existing EE mobile customers with; Xbox Games Pass Ultimate, which offers access to hundreds of high-quality games across console, PC and Cloud; Gamers Data Pass and Video Data Pass on the UK’s unrivalled network for gaming, as well as Roam Abroad and Microsoft 365 add-ons – all for just £60 a month on a 24-month plan. The bundles come with a range of PC gaming laptops starting from just £10 upfront. EE is launching the following range of laptops – with more brands to be offered over time:

  • The IdeaPad Gaming 3 Gen 7, armed with AMD Ryzen 5 6600H CPU Processor and GForce RTX 3050 Graphics card is available with a £10 one off upfront charge
  • The Asus ROG Zephyrus, powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 processor and GForce RTX 3060 graphics card with 8GB DDR5 RAM is available with a £300 one off upfront charge
  • The Legion 5, benefiting from a Ryzen 7 6800H CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, a 165Hz display and an RGB-laden keyboard is available with a £425 one off upfront charge

EE’s extension of its gaming hardware offering comes as research reveals that over two thirds (68%) of consumers have expressed an interest using gaming laptops coinciding with the pandemic, stating it was because of better graphics (53%), and more processing power (43%) for either dual screen gaming at home or for when gaming on the move. Despite this, many find that the standalone price can make gaming laptops less obtainable, with two thirds (67%) revealing that being able to access the latest gaming hardware via monthly payments would make them more accessible.

Console trade-in via

EE’s gaming offering has also been further bolstered by a new console trade-in service, whereby customers can exchange select consoles from brands such as Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo to securely refurbish or recycle them for cash – depending on the condition of the device they trade in.

The console trade-in service follows new research from EE revealing that 88% of Brits own up to two old gaming consoles that they are not using, with customers able to save up to £270 using the service.

The new offers follow EE’s existing PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox great value gaming bundles which come with cloud gaming access and unlimited gaming data on the UK’s best network and come. EE is also launching a new Nintendo Switch OLED bundle that includes the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, 24 months access to Nintendo Switch Online along with an EE Gamer’s Data Pass and Video Pass on a £20 per month plan with a one off £10 up-front fee from May 12th.

Sam Kemp, Director of Gaming at EE: “We’re delighted to be expanding our gaming offering to customers by introducing some of the best-in-class gaming hardware available through our new bundles. Following the start of our recent mission to become the no.1 destination for gaming, we’re now partnering with some of the world’s best gaming companies to ensure our customers can game without limits, wherever they choose to play.”
