Everything Everywhere launches its first high street store in Altrincham in landmark trial

Altrincham one of five locations in Britain to trial new retail concept.

Everything Everywhere, the company that runs Orange and T-Mobile, today opened its first trial store in Altrincham which will offer both Orange and T-Mobile products and services under one roof. Everything Everywhere is investing in Altrincham and has selected the town as the ideal place to test consumer perceptions in this retail trial. The store will give customers the chance to feedback on what they want from their local shop on the high street.

Chris Smith, Altrincham store manager, Everything Everywhere, said: "We're delighted that Altrincham has been chosen as the first place to trial the store. We wanted to give local residents the chance to try something new and this store will offer greater choice than ever before, enabling them to enjoy a wider range of products and services in a fun, interactive environment. We’ve been training for the last few weeks and now we can’t wait to open the doors."

Branded Everything Everywhere on the external fascia and inside, the stores are designed to allow customers to hang out and go online (using the store’s free wi-fi), interact with "live" devices and tablets and enjoy demonstrations from staff.

Six members of staff will be in the store to encourage customers to drop in to chat about their needs, and to make sure they are getting the most out of their phones. Educational events and other fun activities will also be taking place after launch.

Orange and T-Mobile both had stores in Altrincham and the Everything Everywhere store was previously the Orange site. There are plans to invite local schools to showcase children's artwork in the windows of the T-Mobile store which closed.

The store trial is expected to last up to six months and a further four locations across Britain have been selected for the trial. Stores will be opening in the coming weeks in Bishops Stortford, Eltham, Lowestoft and Evesham.

The Everything Everywhere store in Altrincham is located in the Stamford Quarter; 45 George St, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 1RJ.
