London, 8 February 2016:  EE invites fans to get up close and personal with Hollywood’s biggest stars with an online red carpet show hosted by TV presenter, Laura Whitmore.  Laura will interview top BAFTA-nominated talent at this year’s ceremony on Sunday 14th February with help from a bespoke collection of 4GEE Capture Cams – the world’s first wearable 4G camera.

Laura Whitmore’s glamorous red carpet gown will be adorned with a limited edition Capture Cam, which has been given a BAFTA make-over by Swarovski especially for the occasion, to give viewers a unique perspective of the action.

EE has worked with Swarovski to create the exclusive collection of cameras which feature thousands of crystals, each painstakingly applied by hand by a team of craftsman.  In a nod to this year’s Best Costume Design nominee Sandy Powell, one of the cameras in the collection has been decorated with the same Swarovski aurora borealis crystal which was used to create Lily James’ famous glass slipper in the blockbuster film Cinderella.

As this year’s ceremony falls on the most romantic night of the year, Laura will also be stirring up some red carpet romance at the Royal Opera House by asking Hollywood’s elite to blow a kiss to viewers at home.

The red carpet show featuring Laura Whitmore will be available across EE’s social channels from 9am on Monday 15th February.

Laura Whitmore said: “I’m very excited to be presenting this year’s EE BAFTA red carpet show and giving viewers at home a real insight. We have all angles covered, I even have a wearable Swarovski 4GEE Capture Cam. I can't wait to interview some of the biggest stars on the most glamorous night of the year!”

Spencer McHugh, Director of Brand at EE said: “Our cherished partnership with BAFTA is one of our longest-running and we are always looking for new ways to incorporate our technology into the red carpet experience.  The wearable 4GEE Capture Cam was designed for capturing those rare and spontaneous moments you don’t want to forget and there’s no better occasion to demonstrate this.”

YouTubers Hazel Hayes and Helen Anderson will also be on the red carpet for EE using the 4GEE Capture Cam to share all the action from the night with their fans.
