STARS CELEBRATE 2022 EE RISING STAR NOMINEES AT THE VANITY FAIR EE RISING STAR PARTY AHEAD OF THE EE BRITISH ACADEMY FILM AWARDS

London, Wednesday 2nd March 2022: Last night, stars from across the Arts came together to celebrate the 2022 EE Rising Star Award nominees at the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star Party. The event, famous for championing emerging acting talent, took place at the latest Soho House installment, 180 House, where guests celebrated the awards season over two floors at the iconic member’s club.

Stars in attendance celebrating the 17th anniversary of the prestigious EE Rising Star award included: Emily Atack, Michelle Keegan, Asa Butterfield, Joe Dempsie, Joe Cole, the cast from Ted Lasso and 2022 nominee Millicent Simmonds. Known for her star turn in horror film A Quiet Place and its sequel A Quiet Place Part II, Millicent is the first EE Rising Star nominee who is Deaf.

Nicola Roberts, Laura Whitmore, Asa Butterfield, and Nicholas Pinnock were also spotted rubbing shoulders with 2021 EE Rising Star nominees Morfydd Clark, Conrad Khan and Ṣọpẹ Dìrísù. Meanwhile, 2021 EE Rising Star winner Bukky Bakray hit the dancefloor with Joy Crookes.

The EE Rising Star Award recognises emerging actors or actresses who have demonstrated exceptional talent and have captured the imagination of both the public and film industry alike. This year’s nominees are Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), Harris Dickinson (The King’s Man), Lashana Lynch (No Time To Die), Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place II) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Power Of The Dog). As the only award voted for by the British public, film fans are encouraged to cast their vote, with the winner being announced at the EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday 13th March 2022. Throughout the evening, guests danced to DJ sets from Twiggy Garcia and Siggy Smalls, while sipping on drinks created in partnership with BAFTA’s Official Partners Champagne Taittinger, Villa Maria, Woodford Reserve, in addition to CîROC and Casamigos.

The team at 180 House also created bespoke cocktails in honour of each 2022 EE Rising Star nominee, including:

  • Picante de Lashana: Casamigos Blanco, Chilli, Lime
  • Hair of the Dog Old Fashioned: Woodford Reserve
  • House of Harris Paloma: Casamigos Blanco, Lime, Grapefruit
  • Simmonds’ Soho Mule: CîROC Vodka, Ginger, Lime, Soda
  • West Side Fizz: Lime, Mint, Cucumber, Pentire non-alcoholic Spirit, Soda Water

Guests also dined on light bites throughout the night, including Padron peppers, Chicago chicken, steak tartare and mac and cheese, with Soho House’s famous dirty burgers being served at the stroke of midnight.

A live photo-shoot also took place throughout the evening for Vanity Fair UK’s renowned Portrait Studio, with images captured by photographer Matt Holyoak.
